Tinnitus (Ear Ringing)

Tinnitus is probably caused by damage to the tiny hairs in the cochlea-the part of the inner ear where sound waves are turned into nerve impulses. These hairs will send signals to the brain as though they are "hearing" sound when they are damaged. Acupuncture probably helps these cells to repair themselves by improving immune function and blood flow.
